About UsOur Company established in 1968, is the largest onshore Helicopter Company within Ireland. The company’s main actives are as follows; Utilities, General charter, Sales and Engineering. At present Irish helicopters hold a number of vital and strategically important contracts including the provision of services to the commissioners of Irish Lights in support of its navigational aids and light houses around the cost line of Ireland. The transport of the doctor and nurse to and from Tory Island on behalf of the Health Services Exec and the provision of passenger services on and off the island for Comharchumann Thorait Services Teoranta through the auspices of Udarás na Gaeltachta and the Health Services Executive. Inspection patrol contract with the Electricity Supply Board relating to the primary electricity transmission infrastructure; inspection patrol with Bord Gaís Éireann relating to the integrity of the primary ring main gas supply; for Coillte to provide fire fighting services and lifting of materials across sensitive terrains; supporting the fish farms with inter alia, smolt transportation to fish farms and heli-lifting services to the construction industry- a service for which we are a sole provider in Ireland. Our Engineering department cater for all our company aircraft and that of private aircraft in the area of sales, survives, consultation and maintenance. IHL hold IAA approval for a wide range of different helicopters and are the only approved FAA Repair Station within Ireland. We also hold manufacture approval for Bell Helicopters.
