Irish Helicopters fly Santa

Irish Helicopters deliver Santa to Blanchardstown Shopping Centre 12th November 2011

Well done to all the crew at Blanchardstown Shopping Centre on Saturday the 12th November. The weekend has now become an annual occasion of dropping Santa off at the centre, marking the start of the Christmas build up. Thankfully the sun was out again, and all the kids and parents were in festive mood during the anticipated arrival of the man in the red suit. The DJ on stage made the announcement, ‘Santa would be arriving in two minutes' after he had got word from the pilot Colm over the radio. After a tense wait the noise of the helicopter could be heard in the distance. The powerful helicopter made a flypast to assess the landing spot and with all the lights on Colm turned the helicopter towards the centre and made a steady approach. With Santa and his helpers waving to the crowds he made a nice smooth landing. He was finally there! Santa greeted all the kids before heading off to his grotto in the Centre.

This also marks the launch of the Christmas Scenic Flight vouchers by Irish Helicopters. You too could fly in the Helicopter Santa did. For just €75 you can have a 15min scenic flight taking in the sights of Dublin City. The perfect gift for those with a head for heights and a great way to see Irelands Capital city.
